Zambia U‑20 Women Set for Decisive World Cup Qualifier Against Uganda

The Zambia Under‑20 Women’s Football Team will tomorrow face Uganda in the reverse fixture of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, with kickoff set for 15:00 hours.

The first leg ended in a 1‑1 draw, making tomorrow’s clash decisive for either side to progress to the next round.

Speaking during a pre‑match press conference, Zambia Under‑20 Coach Florence Mwila said the team has done its homework and is ready to tackle an aggressive opponent. She added that the technical bench will adjust its approach to secure victory.

Uganda Head Coach Sheryl Botes noted that while Zambia may appear to have the edge on paper, she views the fixture as an important test of her squad’s growth.

Zambia midfielder Jessy Zulu believes the midfield battle will be key to determining the outcome, while Uganda captain Agness Nabukenya, who scored in the first leg, said her team will be more clinical in front of goal.
