Analysts Blame Poor Tactics for Copper Princesses’ Exit

By Chansa Kunda

Football analysts have attributed Zambia’s early exit from the Under-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers to poor tactics.

The Copper Princesses failed to progress to the next round after losing 2–1 on aggregate to Uganda.

Football analyst Richman Mpembamoto said the technical bench did not do its homework after the 1–1 draw in the first leg. He described it as disappointing that, despite having home advantage, the team could not score at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium yesterday.

Another analyst, Winford Kashiya, noted that the technical bench should have used lessons from the first leg to better prepare for the reverse fixture.
