Government has appealed to the public to refrain from spreading misinformation about the condition of musician David Banda, popularly known as General Ozzy, who was involved in a fatal road accident yesterday in Machinga, Monze District.
Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary, Thabo Kawana, has assured the public that Ozzy’s condition is stable and that arrangements are underway to evacuate him to Maina Soko Military Hospital for further observation.
Meanwhile, the Zambia Association of Musicians has commended government’s swift response in providing medical assistance to Ozzy. The association also extended condolences to the family of the police officer who lost his life in the accident.
