Musician David Banda, popularly known as General Ozzy, who was involved in a road accident in Monze, has been evacuated to Maina Soko Medical Centre in Lusaka for further medical treatment.
General Ozzy was evacuated together with his friend, Benjamin Phiri.
Information and Media Permanent Secretary, Thabo Kawana, who received the victims, said artists are an important part of the nation and deserve the same care and attention as any other citizens.
Mr. Kawana explained that government, through the Flying Doctors Service, facilitated the emergency evacuation to ensure the two receive specialized medical attention in Lusaka.
Meanwhile, the musician’s brother, Robert Banda, has thanked government and the medical team for the swift support rendered to the family during this difficult time.
