Three people have died in a road accident involving a Rosa bus and a Toyota Prado on the Solwezi–Mutanda Road near the Mutanda River Bridge in Kalumbila District.
Twenty-five others who were on the bus sustained serious injuries.
The accident occurred after the driver of the Mitsubishi Rosa bus lost control and collided with a Toyota Prado. The impact caused the Prado to veer off and hit a Toyota Hilux, which fell off the bridge and landed on the river bank.
North-Western Province Commanding Officer Brighton Siwale told ZNBC News that the injured victims have been admitted to Solwezi General Hospital for medical treatment.
