The Copper Queens have begun their title defense at the COSAFA Women’s Championship, which is already underway.
Zambia will face Botswana tomorrow at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The Copper Queens are in Group B alongside Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Eswatini. After meeting Botswana, they will take on Zimbabwe three days later before concluding their group fixtures against Eswatini on February 24.
Zambia enters the tournament aiming to retain the crown, having won in 2022 and 2024, while finishing as runners-up in 2023.
The competition also forms part of Zambia’s preparations for this year’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
