Police Recover Stolen Copper Cathodes at Mokambo Border

Police on the Copperbelt have recovered stolen copper cathodes at Mufulira’s Mokambo border following a tip-off from the public.

The operation was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Immigration.

Copperbelt Police Commissioner Mwala Yuyi said the copper cathodes were discovered in a tipper truck at the border.

Mr. Yuyi made the remarks during an inspection of the recovered copper cathodes in Mufulira, valued at millions of kwacha.

He added that one suspect has been picked up to assist with investigations.
