The Civil Service Commission has warned that it will not tolerate corruption or misconduct from officers tasked with recruiting 2,000 health workers for 2025.
Commission Member Louis Siandyabantu said officers involved in the recruitment process must remain impartial and professional. He stressed that their conduct should help restore public confidence in the civil service and ensure that only qualified and deserving citizens are shortlisted.
Mr. Siandyabantu was speaking in Ndola during the induction of members of the Copperbelt Province Human Resource Management Committee, which has been assigned to recruit health workers for the province. The Committee will shortlist candidates, with names later validated at national level.
Government is recruiting 2,000 health workers in 2025, with Copperbelt Province expected to receive about 200.
Meanwhile, Copperbelt Deputy Permanent Secretary Daniel Kamenga urged committee members to strictly follow the guidelines provided by the Civil Service Commission.
