President Hakainde Hichilema is tomorrow expected in Kasane, Botswana, for the launch and commissioning of the Kazungula Bridge Authority.
President Hichilema and Botswana’s President Duma Boko will jointly launch and commission the Authority, which will oversee the management and operations of the Kazungula Bridge — a strategic infrastructure project jointly developed by the Governments of Zambia and Botswana.
Foreign Affairs Minister Mulambo Haimbe said the establishment of the Kazungula Bridge Authority marks a significant milestone in strengthening regional integration.
In a statement issued to ZNBC News, Mr. Haimbe added that President Hichilema is also expected to hold bilateral engagements with President Boko to enhance cooperation in key sectors of the two economies.
Meanwhile, Mercy Ngoma reports that Zambia and Botswana have signed a hosting agreement to formalise the operations of the Kazungula Bridge Authority ahead of its official launch tomorrow.
