ERB Reduces Fuel Prices

The Energy Regulation Board has reduced petroleum pump prices for March, 2026.

Petrol has been cut from 27 Kwacha 88 ngwee to 26 kwacha 61 ngwee per litre, while Diesel has dropped from 24 Kwacha 50 ngwee to 23 Kwacha 25 ngwee per litre.

Kerosene has reduced from 22 kwacha 24 ngwee to 21 Kwacha 6 ngwee, while Jet A-1 has gone down from 23 kwacha 80 ngwee to 22 Kwacha 39 ngwee per litre.

And ERB Chairperson JAMES BANDA, says the reduction is largely due to the appreciation of the Kwacha against the United States Dollar, which helped cushion the impact of rising international oil prices.

Mr BANDA says the regulator will continue monitoring global market trends and exchange rate movements to ensure fair pricing.

The new prices take effect at midnight tonight.
