Socialist Party President, FRED M’MEMBE, has been arrested for alleged harassment and humiliation, contrary to the Cyber Law.
Police Spokesperson, GODFREY CHILABI, confirmed the arrest of Dr. M’MEMBE, 66.
Mr. CHILABI said the alleged offence occurred on February 26, 2026 during a radio programme that was streamed on Dr. M’MEMBE’s Facebook page.
He stated that the remarks made during the broadcast were allegedly vulgar and intended to humiliate the Republican President.
Mr. CHILABI added that Dr. M’MEMBE has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court soon.
