Government has confirmed that no reports of injury or loss of life involving Zambians have been received as a result of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Mulambo Haimbe said this assurance is based on verified updates from Zambia’s Missions in Egypt, Israel, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Delivering a ministerial statement to Parliament, Mr. Haimbe noted that some Zambians have experienced temporary travel disruptions due to precautionary airspace closures and heightened security measures. He added that missions remain actively engaged on the ground, providing timely guidance, consular support, and necessary assistance to safeguard the welfare of citizens.
