Football analyst Moses Mpundu says the appointment of George Lwandamina as interim coach of the Zambia national football team is the right decision at the right time.
Speaking in an interview with ZNBC Sport, Mpundu said the national team needs a local coach to help lay a strong foundation for the future. He noted that Lwandamina’s vast experience in local football will be key in supporting the development of the Chipolopolo.
Mpundu added that working alongside assistant coach Mutapa will help steer the team in the right direction and contribute to its growth.
He further observed that Zambia’s coaching framework has often overlooked local coaches, stressing that giving them opportunities to lead the national team will nurture local talent and promote sustainable development in Zambian football.
