Chief Indopu of Nalolo District in Western Province has praised President Hakainde Hichilema for his transformative governance, which he says is improving the livelihoods of people in rural communities.
The traditional leader noted that since 2021, Zambia has recorded notable progress in infrastructure development, mining, improved electricity stability, and the equitable rollout of social services.
Chief Indopu highlighted the free education policy, which has enabled many children in Nalolo District to return to school, as well as the school feeding programme that is contributing to improved learner performance.
He further disclosed that no child in Nalolo District is sitting on the floor following the procurement of desks by the local authority, adding that these interventions are directly transforming lives in rural areas.
The chief made the remarks during International Women’s Day celebrations held in Litoya’s Lubosi Ward in Nalolo District.
Meanwhile, women in the area commended government for safeguarding their rights and creating space for them to actively participate in decision-making processes and contribute to national development.
