President Hakainde Hichilema has called for stronger climate action and greater youth involvement in addressing climate change.
He encouraged schools to take the lead in innovation and technology aimed at tackling environmental challenges.
The President’s remarks were delivered in Lusaka by Green Economy and Environment Minister Mike Mposha during the Kids Climate Action Fair 2026.
Meanwhile, Butterfly Entertainment Chief Executive Officer Shika Liswaniso emphasized the need for stronger partnerships between schools and government in advancing climate action.
She noted that collaboration is essential to equipping young people with the knowledge and skills required to respond to climate change as Zambia works toward a sustainable future.
