China Copper Mine plans to invest three million United States Dollars in its sister company, the Kumbele Copper Project in Chingola.
Company Commercial Manager Yifeng Xu stated that the project will produce 20 thousand tonnes of copper at full capacity and create about two thousand jobs.
Mr. Xu made these remarks when his firm handed over a rehabilitated ablution block at Chiwempala Market in Chingola.
Chingola Member of Parliament Chipoka Mulenga expressed gratitude to China Copper Mine for supporting traders at the market. He noted that government is committed to rebuilding Chiwempala Market, which was gutted by fire, to modern standards.
Mr. Mulenga urged more stakeholders to contribute towards the reconstruction of the market.
