Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO has called for the adoption of modern business models to strengthen the agricultural sector.
Speaking during the 2025 Youth Connekt National Summit in Lusaka on Tuesday, Mrs. NALUMANGO urged young people to take advantage of opportunities in climate-smart agriculture, renewable energy and sustainable farming practices.
She said the Government is implementing various initiatives to support young people in agriculture to ensure that no youth is left behind.
And Youth, Sport and Arts Minister ELVIS NKANDU said the platform has enabled young people to accelerate youth-led innovation that addresses climate change.
Mr. NKANDU said government remains committed to providing youths with tangible and sustainable solutions to the challenges they face.
Meanwhile, UN Resident Coordinator BEATRICE MUTALI said there is need for continued investment in education, digital literacy, and capacity building to enhance youth employability.
And National Youth Development Council Secretary WANA KANKINZA said young people need greater access to finance and a supportive environment to drive the green hustle and strengthen the agricultural sector.
