West China Hospital, Levy Mwanawasa Teaching Hospital, and the International Hospital of Zambia have signed a Tripartite Sister Hospital Agreement aimed at deepening collaboration in diagnosis, continuous training, and joint research.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, West China Hospital President Luo Fengming said the partnership marks the beginning of enhanced cooperation, demonstrating how teamwork can unite minds across the world. He noted that the agreement builds on the shared history between Zambia and the Chinese Government.
Levy Mwanawasa Teaching Hospital Senior Medical Superintendent Charles Mutemba praised the partnership, highlighting its potential to strengthen healthcare delivery in Zambia.
International Hospital of Zambia Chief Medical Officer Robert Zulu described the agreement as the fulfillment of a promise made earlier this year, underscoring the hospital’s commitment to advancing medical collaboration.
The partnership is expected to boost knowledge exchange, improve patient care, and accelerate innovation in Zambia’s health sector.
