Zambia’s football legend Kalusha Bwalya has expressed confidence that the Chipolopolo have what it takes to be strong contenders at the 2025 Men’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to take place in Morocco this month.
Bwalya said the current squad is one of the most exposed teams Zambia has fielded in recent years, and with the right preparations, they can meet the expectations of the nation.
He noted that after missing out on several AFCON tournaments, Zambia’s back-to-back qualification signals a return to the country’s rightful place in African football.
The former Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) President, who also participated in the recent Football Indaba in Lusaka, emphasized that the meeting was crucial in addressing challenges that had contributed to the decline of the game in Zambia.
