3 Suspects Arrested in Lusaka Double Murder

By Rosemary Kamanga

Police have apprehended three suspects in connection with the murder of a Chinese couple at their home in Lusaka’s Mariansdale area.

Police Spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi identified the victims as Li Qingming (57) and his wife Liu Jiaxi (55), whose bodies were discovered around 06:00 hours today. The couple had been stabbed multiple times.

Preliminary investigations suggest that an intruder broke into the residence, fatally attacked the couple, and fled with money and their vehicle. Police have since recovered the stolen Toyota Harrier, registration number BAH 9615.

Mr. Chilabi said the arrests were made during intelligence-led operations across Lusaka. The suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
