Southern Province Minister Credo Nanjuwa says the adoption of Constitution Amendment Bill Number 7 marks a significant step toward more inclusive governance and faster national development.
Mr. Nanjuwa told ZNBC News that the Bill’s approval demonstrates lawmakers’ willingness to rise above partisan interests and prioritise the wellbeing of Zambians. He added that the development also reflects public confidence in President Hakainde Hichilema’s leadership.
UPND Akapelwa Ward Youth Chairperson, Savior Manenga, said Bill 7 highlights the President’s commitment to empowering youths, women, and persons with disabilities. He noted that the introduction of fifteen guaranteed youth seats in Parliament will ensure young people have a stronger voice in shaping laws that address their needs.
Another youth, Kwatumba Lishomwa, encouraged young people to unite and emulate the parliamentarians who set aside political differences to support the Bill.
