Green Buffaloes Volleyball Club men’s and women’s teams have booked their places in the semifinals of the 2025 Zone VI Senior Indoor Club Championship in South Africa.
The men’s side advanced after defeating fellow Zambian team Falcons of Ndola in the quarterfinals, while the women’s squad cruised to a commanding 3-0 victory.
Head Coach Luckson Mazumbo expressed confidence in both teams, urging players to maintain focus and discipline as the tournament enters its decisive stages.
Zambia Army Commander Lieutenant General Geoffrey Zyeele also addressed the players via Zoom, encouraging them to remain determined and push for the championship title.
In the semifinals, the Buffaloes men will face defending champions UZ Wolves of Zimbabwe, aiming to overturn last year’s semifinal defeat in Botswana. The women will take on Spiking Stars of Botswana.
The men’s finalists will meet either Mozambique’s Allianca or Zimbabwe’s Black Rhinos, while the women’s finalists will face Zambia’s Prison Leopards or UP Maputo Ladies of Mozambique.
