A 14-year-old girl has testified in the Chipata Magistrate Court, Eastern Province, narrating how Prophet Victor Kalima allegedly defiled her at his house in Hills View area.
Kalima is facing one count of defilement before Resident Magistrate Lydia Lwenje. During her testimony, the juvenile led the court to the accused’s residence, identified as the scene of the crime.
She explained that on Sunday, April 27, 2025, Kalima invited her to collect a present from his home, but instead allegedly had carnal knowledge of her. She further stated that he gave her 50 kwacha for transport afterward.
The girl later confided in her family, leading her mother to report the matter to police.
Following a scene visit, Magistrate Lwenje adjourned the case to January 5, 2026, for continuation of trial.
