Copperbelt Police Arrest 13 Over False Claims

By Hector Simfukwe
The Zambia Police Service on the Copperbelt has arrested 13 people in connection with reports of individuals claiming their private parts had gone missing.
Police Division Chaplain for Copperbelt, Reverend Floyd Chinyanta, said the suspects are from Kitwe, Chingola, Mufulira, and Chililabombwe.
Reverend Chinyanta explained that all those who claimed to have lost their private parts were lying, as medical checks confirmed their organs were intact.
He told ZNBC News in Kitwe that the Zambia Police on the Copperbelt will sternly deal with individuals spreading false information, warning that such actions fuel unnecessary panic and violence.
Reverend Chinyanta emphasized that it is wrong to attack innocent citizens based on suspicion and superstition.
