Tourism Minister Rodney Sikumba says Zambia now 2 million tourist arrivals target for 2024 seeing that the 1.5 million target for 2023 will be met.
Speaking during the 5th Anniversary of Neelkanth Sarovar Hotel in Lusaka, the Minister said this can only be achieved if more Hotels are constructed in the country.
He commended the hotel for their expansion plans which they will be adding sixty rooms as well as a convention centre after securing a plot adjacent to the hotel.
Hon. Sikumba also applauded Sarovar hotel for the achievement in the last five years of its existence.
And Sarovar Sales and Marketing Manager, Beatrice Mulenga says during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Management kept all the staff and non was laid off.
Mrs. Mulenga says the Hotel has employed five differently abled people who have become an integral part of the staff.
She Sarovar will continue supporting the Government in its directive to include differently abled people in their staff.
The hotel opened its doors to the public 12th November, 2018.
