President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has led war veterans, service chiefs, and diplomats accredited to Zambia in Remembrance Day activities at the Ndola Cenotaph on the Copperbelt.
President HICHILEMA, who laid wreaths in memory of Zambian, Commonwealth, and foreign soldiers, who died in various wars, was joined by Cabinet Ministers and other government officials.
Several war veterans, including former 3 Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier General LASTON CHABINGA, attended the ceremony.
And Zambia Army Director General of Religious and Moral Service Brigadier General Rev. SHADRECK MWALE said Zambians should uphold loyalty, sacrifice, and patriotism – virtues exemplified by those who fought for the nation’s freedom.
He said this in his homily, where he emphasised the need for Zambians to work together in building a united and hopeful nation, anchored on peace and mutual respect.
