Building Skills, Boosting Livelihoods: Lobito Corridor Project Empowers SMEs and Honey Producers

NAIS- Forty small and medium enterprises in the road sector are undergoing training in road construction and maintenance under the Lobito Corridor Trade Facilitation Project.
This initiative forms part of the capacity-building programme for Api-Culture Cooperatives, aimed at strengthening honey production in North Western Province.
Provincial Permanent Secretary, Colonel (Retired) Grandson Katambi, emphasized that government supports entrepreneurship as a key driver for improving livelihoods and reducing poverty. He made these remarks while launching the programme in Solwezi District.
Meanwhile, Mutanda Agro Barn Produce Director, Trackson Chikonko, urged cooperatives in the province to work diligently to achieve the programme’s objectives.
The Lobito Corridor Trade Facilitation Project, funded by the African Development Bank, is valued at 8.1 million U.S. dollars.
