HELSB and CAMFED Partner to Expand Access to Higher Education

By Mark Ziligone
The Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board (HELSB) and the Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding access to higher education financing and strengthening support for vulnerable learners.
HELSB Chief Executive Officer John Machayi said the partnership underscores a shared commitment to ensuring that no capable learner is left behind due to financial limitations.
Speaking during the signing ceremony in Lusaka, Dr. Machayi noted that the MoU will help improve awareness of higher education financing opportunities, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
Meanwhile, CAMFED Zambia Vice Board Chairperson Doreen Mukanzo emphasized that the partnership is built on a strong foundation of mutual respect and a common vision—where every child, regardless of background or location, has the opportunity to pursue higher education.
