Chinese Premier Li Qiang has departed Zambia after concluding his official visit. His plane left Kenneth Kaunda International Airport at around 18:00 hours, where he was seen off by Vice President Mutale Nalumango, senior government officials, and members of the diplomatic corps.
Speaking to ZNBC News after the departure, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Han Jing said the visit underscored the longstanding friendship between Zambia and China.
Ambassador Han noted that Premier Li brought forward substantial cooperation proposals that will benefit the people of both countries. He further highlighted the joint launch of the TAZARA rail project by Zambia, Tanzania, and China, describing it as an important milestone in trilateral cooperation.
