Government has announced that phase two of the Internship Programme, under the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts, is expected to begin in January next year.
Youth, Sports and Arts Minister, Elvis Nkandu, said the Ministry is currently evaluating the programme and drawing lessons on how to improve it.
Mr. Nkandu told ZNBC News in an interview that under phase two, it will be important to ensure that youths are paid on time.
He explained that the Internship Programme is significant as it demonstrates government’s commitment to providing young people with valuable work experience.
