Paramount Chief Mpezeni has hailed the peace prevailing in Eastern Province and praised government for its visible development works, including the construction of dams and road projects.
Speaking when First Lady Mutinta Hichilema paid a courtesy call on him at Ephendukeni Palace, Chief Mpezeni expressed gratitude that government had responded to his demand for dams in the area, stressing that President Hakainde Hichilema should continue on the same trajectory.
He further commended the First Lady for donating assorted items to Chipata Central Hospital and appealed for similar support to be extended to other health facilities in the province.
Mrs. Hichilema, in turn, thanked the traditional leader for his warm welcome and noted that similar donations have been made in health facilities across the country.
