First Lady Donates to Chipata Central Hospital

First Lady MUTINTA HICHILEMA has donated assorted items to Chipata Central Hospital in a bid to strengthen the health sector.

Speaking as she presented the items, Mrs. HICHILEMA said the donation reaffirms the shared commitment to improving the quality of life for the people, especially the vulnerable.

She noted that Chipata Central Hospital is a key referral facility that plays a critical role in delivering health services.

Mrs. HICHILEMA expressed hope that the donated items will help cushion the hospital’s operations.

The First Lady also donated sewing machines, mealie meal and blankets, among other items, to the community.

Eastern Province Minister PETER PHIRI said the donation will go a long way towards uplifting the health and living standards of the people.

Meanwhile, Chipata Central Hospital Senior Medical Superintendent MBINGA MBINGA commended the Government for procuring vital equipment for the hospital.

And Chief MNUKWA of Chipangali District said traditional leaders will always work with the Government of the day.
