Police in Lumezi, Eastern Province have arrested three suspects in connection with the theft of 19 x 50kg bags of FISP fertiliser, valued at over K19,950.
Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Robertson Mweemba identified the suspects as James Bilima, Stephen Ndhlovu, and Richard Phiri.
Mr. Mweemba said the suspects allegedly broke into a building at Ng’onga Cooperative between November 20 and December 3, 2025, where the fertiliser was being stored.
He added that 12 bags of the stolen fertiliser have since been recovered, and investigations into the matter have intensified.
