The Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) has raised concern over harmful content bordering on superstition aired by some broadcasting stations in Eastern Province.
IBA Director General Webster Malido said the Authority has formally written to a number of affected radio stations, cautioning them against such programming.
Mr. Malido made the remarks when he met Eastern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary Lewis Mwape in Chipata, during his ongoing tour of radio stations in the region.
Dr. Mwape noted that Government continues to work closely with broadcasting stations in the province to ensure responsible media practices and effective communication with communities.
