The Reformed Church in Zambia (RCZ) has urged for peaceful dialogue and responsible engagement as the nation debates the Constitution Amendment Bill Number 7.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka, RCZ Synod Vice Moderator Reverend Moses Mwale appealed to the Church, political parties, civil society, and traditional leaders to refrain from inflammatory language during the ongoing discussions.
Reverend Mwale stressed that national leaders must prioritize the welfare of citizens above political interests and listen to the concerns of the people.
He further encouraged the Church to continue preaching peace, unity, and reconciliation from the pulpit, while promoting dialogue and rejecting violence in all its forms.
