HH Lands in Nakonde for Border Facility Launch
By Musenge Mulimba
President Hakainde Hichilema is in Nakonde to commission the first phase of the new Nakonde One Stop Border Post.
The helicopter carrying the President landed at Nakonde Day Secondary School around 11:00 hours, where he interacted with residents who had gathered to welcome him.
The President is expected to meet traditional leaders before touring and commissioning the border facility.
Most of the works at the border involved the upgrade of the terminal, parking area, and installation of a scanner, which have now been completed.
The upgrade of the Nakonde Border Post is expected to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion, enhancing efficiency at one of Zambia’s busiest border crossings.
